Anna Mundet Molas is a researcher-artist and activist working at the intersection of technology, image, and ecology. Her work combines new media tools with experimental audiovisual forms, drawing from curatorial practices, speculative fiction, scientific cinema, and community-based mediation and participation processes. As an activist, she is involved with Ecologistes en Acció and is a member of the Catalan Assembly for Ecosocial Transition (acTe), focusing on degrowth, industrial reconversion, and critical perspectives on technology and digitalization.

Academically, she is a PhD researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where her work lies within environmental humanities and ecocriticism, with a special focus on speculative visual studies, philosophy of technology and media, computational aesthetics, and critical AI studies. She has conducted research stays at the University of Texas and the University of St. Andrews, and recently took part in the Pelion Summer Lab for Cultural Theory & Experimental Humanities (University of Thessaly) and the Cultures d’Avenir program (CCCB, Pompidou, La Gaîté Lyrique, HKW). She currently teaches Digital Media Aesthetics and Foundations of Digital Culture at the Escola Superior de Disseny de Sabadell.

She is co-founder of Malniu Films, a self-managed cooperative for socially engaged cinema. Her work has been featured at festivals such as Barcelona Film Fest, Academia Film Olomouc, Subtravelling, REC, Braga Science Film Fest, and D'A Film Festival, among others. In 2023, she was a jury member for the NEST competition at the San Sebastián Film Festival (SSIFF) and since 2020, she has collaborated with LOOP Festival, Austin Film Festival, Esperanzah Festival, Enfocats Festival (CC Pati Llimona), CO–International Cooperative Film Festival, ATAEC (Artistes, Cultures & Climes Association), +RAIN Film Festival, and the Urban Ecology Department of the Barcelona City Council.

She has participated in the group exhibition File Explorer: I Like the Pictures in Your Living Room at Gallery XY in the Czech Republic, and is part of the 2025 edition of the Oberhausen Film Festival Seminar. She was recently awarded a production grant from CCCB and Dones Visuals as part of the 2025–2026 Simfonies de Ciutat program and in 2025 and she is one of the selected artists of the Espai Nyam Nyam art fortnight, part of the “Vivim en un món devorat” program.
